Is it time for Hillary to drop out NOW?

OK senior government students (AP World can join in too!), here's one more post for old times sake. After this past Tuesday's primaries in North Carolina and Indiana, there is increasing pressure within the Democratic party for presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton to concede the party's nomination to Barack Obama.

Questions to ponder:

Should Clinton quit the race now in the best interest of the party? Why or why not?

Are you up for the Obama/Clinton ticket in November? Or should Hillary decline the Vice Presidential slot if asked, and take her chances in 2012?

P.S. DON'T FORGET TO VOTE IN THE WEST VIRGINIA PRIMARY ON MAY 13!!!!!!!!

I do think that Hilary Clinton should drop out. After listening to MPR last night and listening to the debates that many advisors for both parties had. I have learned that both sides agree it will be very hard if not impossible for her to win. So why not have her try and help Barack gain support for his campaign, because they both think it is important for a Democrat to be in office.

I think Hilary should keep going because when she drops out it will show that she doesn't have the courage to keep running. It would also disappoint her supporters that she didn't keep trying. This will effect her in the future when she might try to run again, everyone will remember how she dropped out of the race just because everyone wants her to. That just goes to show that she will fall easy under pressure which is a bad thing if you are running for president.

I believe that Hilary should drop out of the race. It's getting down to it and the party doesn't even have a nominee yet. I believe she should concede and try to help Obama with his campaign. If they're both striving for a democrat to be the eventual winner, they have to do something soon, because McCain is the one out and about at this point.

Why should she? There is no sign of failure there. I mean in my opinion wish they both would drop out, but its down to superdelegates and even though they are shifting back and forth between parties, still nobody has won yet, why be a quitter? She’s raised too much money and worked too long just to drop out because of what some “polls” say. Therefore if she drops out, she just wasted all of her time.

Well I obviously don't feel this is the time for Hillary to drop out. Hillary has become a fighter through this whole campaign and has reinvented herself since her consecutive primary defeats in February. She has caught up in the money raising and it seems like her support is beginning to grow again. Yes, it may be too late for her and it will be a miracle if she can somehow get all the superdelegates, but why quit? Fight on Hillary! Oh, and I'm loving the Clinton fest in West Virginia! Everyone in Charleston was going Hillary crazy when I was down there! Awesome.

I do not think that Hillary Clinton should drop out. She has worked hard to be where she is today and she would be throwing away her goal of becoming president if she quit. A person should not give up on their dreams just because everyone else stops believing.

I have to agree with John Edwards on this one. It is time for Hillary to drop out! She isn't going to be able to win, despite her reasoning, that is unless there is some sort of miracle. So I think it would be best for her and for the democratic party for her to drop out. I think she should make herself useful and help Barack out.

Bonjour, Mrs. Stotler. WOW! You actually got Seth to post on the blog, I'm impressed. I can hardly get him out of bed to talk to me on the phone. Anyway, I think we have discussed this before on the blog, but I believe that Hiliary should NOT drop out, dispite the pressure or whatever else is going on. She has a dream, she has a goal, and if she continues for that goal, then she just might achieve it. Most of America might not be ready for a woman president, or vice president, but maybe change is good. Maybe change can be for the better.

...the last time I checked there's this long primary season that goes all the way from Iowa to June 3rd when all the states/commonwealths would have held their primaries or caucus's...and then there was this thing called a convention where a nominee was supposed to be chosen for the party for the general election. God forbid that we actually use the system that set up in place instead of picking someone after a handful of states have gone after Super Tuesday. I once heard there was this thing called democracy where everyone had a vote but I guess people don't care about that anymore and everyone is too impatient these days...

I say this in spite of the fact that Obama has already won the Presidency so there's no use in arguing about it anymore but let her stay in in she wants, WV and Kentucky are big states to brag about...
